Here we have for a sad sale is the beautiful Doris. Shes a petrol, manual gearbox, 2 litre girl. Easy to drive , with 2 keys, with swivel captains seat on the passenger side and lifting arms. Cd/radio player for on board entertainment and good leisure battery under the seat. TV aerial is present but never used. There is a safe under the seat but unfortunately I never got the key from the previous owner. Im told that you can get a replacement from Auto-sleepers. We bought her last year and before lockdown took some lovely little trips. What a fab van. Everything you need to be self sufficient. Cooker with grill and stove top. Fridge with small freezer. Sink for washing up and lots of storage cupboards for your kit and supplies. Shower room with wash basin, cabinet, toilet roll holder and cassette toilet which is very easy to deal with at a proper disposal site or your own loo. It even has a wooden privacy screen if needed. There are 3 seat belts and the sofa folds down to a large double. I have the extra original cushions to increase the size which is suitable for a 6ft 2 tall person. Under the sofa is more storage. There are several configurations. You can have a double or 2 singles. Over head there is a good sized locker for bedding, storage. There is also a wardrobe and designated cupboard for your gas. All the blinds are in good order, all with both fly screens and black out screens. All original curtains in great condition with brand new curtain hooks in place. Outside you have a pull out awning for those sunny dayswhich will come! Easy to operate with handle included. Doris is a great size to get places that bigger vans cant get or arent allowed to park. Good on fuel and such great fun to drive. I want to be honest and transparent in this sale so here are the little things that need work. The top hatch blew off in a gale one day and broke the plastic attachments. Its been taped on and stayed on well but Id suggest a better fix or replacement. I never had a habitation check because I never used the kitchen, so that might be a good idea just to be safe. There are no gas tanks on board. The water tank needs a new exit hose. Youll need this to keep the water in the tank. To the best of my knowledge thats about it. Keep it in mind that this old Dame is just that. Dont expect everything to be pristine or brand new, its not but she is in very good condition for her age in my opinion.
