A lovely example of a Talbot Express Pilote, relatively low mileage for age and good on fuel consumption. Drives well and comfortably reaches 60mph, typically cruising anywhere between 50mph and 60mph. The vehicle has had a number of upgrades whilst in our ownership but does still require some areas of finishing in habitation vessel. New windscreen washer pump. New service items oil, oil filter, diesel filter, diesel lift pump. New tyres all round. Soundproofing of bonnet underside and drivers cabin flooring. New sink and hob in new counter (gas not connected yet). Replacement hot water gas unit fitted. New boards put into shower/bathroom cubicle with strengthened floor. Boarded up the shower window but frame is still in place should new owner want to re-instate as a window. Shower door converted to stable door, so it can open half, should you have pets that need to be safely out the way (we used this room for our pets) when cooking etc. New dashboard speakers and 6×9 speakers in boxes behind the front seats, replacement radio head unit fitted. 2 new matrasses (if wanted). We find these are better then the seat cushions which can move about when sleeping. MOT and V5 paperwork present along with collection of services and work done. Cabin does get condensation on colder winter days. And could also do with personalisation (some curtains also quite dated). Electrics need doing in habitation vessel including lighting and water pump. Has new leisure battery and solar trickle charger on roof, also has a 240v plugin however these have recently stopped working. I would recommend a solar system kit as there is plenty of space on roof for it and space for the battery bank inside due to the old airheater being removed. Gears change smoothly, but at 40mph the gear lever does wobble a bit, but stops when going through 40mph. Has done this since the start of our ownership and has not bothered us but its worth raising. Needs new fridge fitted, old one removed as was not working. All gas lines are in tact and would just need connecting up again. Has age related wear and tear, viewings advised and welcomed. All in all it is a great retro classic motorhome that has scope to give the next owners many happy adventures, a good sound engine with an MOT at a very reasonable price compared to new campers hence gives you scope to personalise and finish it to your taste. Comfortably sleep 5 in nice configuration 2 up top, 2 in main bed, and one child bed at rear. We have had many happy memories in her and reluctantly letting her go to pay for house renovations.
