We have enjoyed a few trips this year but its time now for new owners to enjoy some summer holidays. The B584 is perfect for a couple or family of three. The original seat covers are in good condition, but we have covered the cab seats for comfort and use throws in the rear to make her feel like home from home. Up front both cab seats swivel to face the lounge. We have carried out the much talked about cut to the dining table and fixed a piano hinge so the table folds away when not in use creating so much more space. The rear is occupied by the kitchen and the side bathroom with large wardrobe. The well-equipped kitchen area includes an oven and 3 burner hob, double sink and fridge with freezer compartment. She has a good-sized bathroom with Thetford toilet, sink and shower with lots of storage. Recently painted by us this now looks fresh and welcoming. There are opening skylights throughout providing excellent lighting and a good air-flow. The best feature of Hymy has to be the comfy over cab double bed that drops down with ease. Accessed by a step ladder the bed is comfy and stows out the way when not in use. A further large single bed can be made from the settee as needed or for lounging to watch the TV on a rainy day. The TV has an external ariel and works well with free view channels. There are ample external storage lockers, the large side one can be accessed from under the settee/single bed. Inside the van has plentiful internal storage including overhead lockers and a large wardrobe with hanging rail. The 240 volt in the van works on mains via a hook-up, the lights work on a leisure battery which was new last year, and stays topped up by the solar panel we fitted to the roof. The fridge can work on mains 240V, on gas or on the leaisure battery when the vehicle is running. There are two gas bottles which also run the blown air gas central heating throughout. The water is heated by gas for warm showers. A recently fitted new pump ensures ample water pressure for a great shower. Due to covid we have used the van this year and stayed away for many nights at a time self-sufficient when all toilet and shower blocks were closed. There is an electric step at the rear for access. Outside there is a fiamma wind out awning. It works well but is missing a part on one arm which needs replacing. There is a tow hook, not used by us or tested. There is brand new cycle carrier fitted to the rear. Also great for drying wet towels on site! There are silver screens and chocks included. Inside I have replaced the curtains, there are net curtains to the rear as well as fly screens and blackout blinds which all work. A couple of the window catches need replacing but we have not needed to do this as we open the skylights. Hymy drives well and has adjustable air cushion rear suspension. The panoramic window is a wonderful feature and great visibility when travelling. There is a small stone chip, it has been ono the screen for a number of years and has not increased in size. We have a folder of service history records, MOTs instruction manuals and receipts for works completed that goes back several years. Hymer motorhomes are so well built they seem to go on forever.
